Challenge
A well known Dutch owned North Sea operator required to install a 20” Fire Safe Isolation kit onto a Valve. They had been unable to source the kit from their normal vendor and approached Alba Gaskets urgently in need for assistance. The client offered to pay quick delivery premiums in order to resolve their issue and despite having no stock Alba Gaskets took up the challenge to supply the required product in a very short space of time.
Solution
Utilising our global network of contacts Alba Gaskets found the required product and arranged for the kit to be shipped into Aberdeen over the weekend. Unfortunately to add to our challenge there was baggage handling strikes in the airport we needed to ship via and it was only due to the perseverance of Louise from our internal sales team that we managed to get these kits specially driven across Europe to another airport allowing the kit to be delivered late on a Sunday evening. They were then taken by Helicopter offshore to our client.
